How Do Payouts Work?
Payouts work differently depending on your payment collection method — direct via Stripe Connect, or manual bank transfer via RoxRace.
Payout method depends on how you collect payments
There are two payment collection modes on RoxRace, and each has a different payout process.
If you use Own Stripe account (Stripe Connect)
Payments go directly to your Stripe account as athletes register. RoxRace never holds your money.
- Athlete registers and pays
- Stripe processes the payment immediately
- The RoxRace platform fee is deducted automatically
- The remaining amount lands in your Stripe account
- Stripe transfers to your bank account on your payout schedule (typically daily or weekly)
You control your payout schedule in your Stripe dashboard.
If you use RoxRace collects
RoxRace holds all registration fees on your behalf. After your race has concluded, you submit a payout request:
- Go to your race's Setup → Payment page in Race Management
- Click Request payout
- Enter your bank details (bank name, account holder, account number or IBAN)
- Submit — RoxRace will process and transfer the collected amount minus refunds, platform fees and Stripe processing fees
Your bank details are saved to your organization for future payout requests.
See Requesting a Payout from RoxRace for the full walkthrough.
Refunds
Refund an athlete from their registration in Participants → Athletes — all or part of the payment, with or without removing them from the race. Card payments are refunded to the athlete's card via Stripe.
- Own Stripe account — Refunds come out of your Stripe balance, and the RoxRace platform fee is not refunded.
- RoxRace collects — Refunded amounts are deducted from your payout.
See Payments, Refunds & Receipts for the full walkthrough.
