Two ways to collect payments

RoxRace gives you two options for how registration fees are collected. You choose per race on its Race Management → Setup → Payment page.

Option 1: Own Stripe account (Stripe Connect)

Connect your own Stripe account and receive payments directly as athletes register.

• Money lands in your Stripe account immediately — RoxRace never holds it
• Stripe handles all card processing, refunds, and compliance
• You get paid as registrations come in, not after the event
• Requires a Stripe account (free to create)

How to set up:

1. Open your race's Setup → Payment page and select Own Stripe account
2. In the Connect payment account section, click Connect with Stripe (only the organization owner can do this)
3. Complete the Stripe onboarding (~5 minutes)
4. Once Stripe has verified your account, the race is ready to take paid registrations

To have future races start with Stripe already connected, connect once under Payments & fees → Payment Defaults in your organization before you create them. That account is applied to new races only — existing races keep their own payment settings.

Option 2: RoxRace collects

RoxRace collects all registration fees on your behalf. After your race has concluded, you request a payout and the money is transferred to your bank account.

• No Stripe account needed — ideal if you don't have one yet
• Payments are held securely by RoxRace until you request a payout
• You submit a payout request with your bank details after the race
• RoxRace transfers the collected amount (minus refunds, platform fees and Stripe processing fees) to your account

Fee structure

Regardless of collection method, the RoxRace platform fee applies to all paid registrations:

• 4% + a flat fee per paid registration — 15 SEK, 1.50 EUR, 1.50 USD, 1.30 GBP, 15 NOK or 10 DKK, depending on the race currency
• 2% instead of 4% for payments made 1 October 2026 – 31 March 2027 — see Pricing Overview
• Free divisions have no fee
