Organisation Payment Defaults
Set your preferred Stripe account, currency, payment mode, fee distribution and tax settings once at the organisation level — they are automatically applied every time you create a new race.
Why use payment defaults?
If you run multiple races with the same payment setup, entering Stripe, tax, and fee settings from scratch every time is repetitive. Payment defaults let you configure these once at the organisation level. When you create a new race, the defaults are applied automatically.
Where to find them
Go to Payments & fees in your organization dashboard (under the Money section of the sidebar) — payment defaults are the panel on that page, alongside your fee summary.
What can be defaulted
Stripe account
Click Connect with Stripe in the panel to connect a Stripe account as your default for the Own Stripe account payment mode. New races will be pre-linked to this account without any extra steps. Races created before you connected are not updated — connect those from each race's Setup → Payment page. Only the organization owner can connect or disconnect Stripe.
Default currency
The currency new races inherit — SEK, EUR, USD, GBP, NOK or DKK. Existing races and divisions are not affected, and you can override the currency per race.
Payment collection mode
Choose your preferred default:
- Stripe Connect — Payments go directly to your Stripe account as athletes register
- RoxRace collects — RoxRace holds funds and transfers them to you after the race

Platform fee distribution
Choose who covers the RoxRace platform fee by default:
- Pass to athlete — The athlete pays the full fee on top, as a Service fee at checkout
- Split 50/50 — The athlete pays half the fee as a Service fee; you cover the other half
- Absorb — You cover the full fee; athletes pay the listed price

Tax settings
- Enable tax — Whether tax applies by default
- Tax type — VAT, GST, Sales Tax, or Other
- Tax rate — Percentage to apply
- VAT/GST number — Your organisation's tax ID (shown on receipts)
- Tax included in base price — Whether prices are displayed tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive
Click Save to store your defaults.
Platform-fee invoicing
The same panel has a separate Platform-fee invoicing section where you choose your Business type (Swedish business, Swedish consumer, EU business (outside Sweden) or Rest of world, plus your EU VAT number if you're an EU business). This sets the VAT treatment of the RoxRace platform fee and your monthly platform-fee invoices — not the tax you charge athletes. It has its own Save button. See Fee Handling Options for details.
How auto-apply works
When creating a new race, open the Payment tab — Apply organization payment defaults is switched on by default, and a Will be applied list shows which defaults will be copied. Switch it off if you want to configure payment settings manually for that specific race.
Defaults are always a starting point — you can override any setting in the individual race's settings after creation.
Use a race as your default
Already have a race set up the way you like? On that race's Setup → Payment page, click Set as default to save its payment mode, currency, Stripe account, platform fee distribution and tax settings as your organisation defaults. If you already have defaults, you'll be asked to confirm before they're replaced.
